I-20/I-520 Widening and Interchange Reconstruction, Columbia and Richmond Counties, Georgia

The Georgia Department of Transportation is reconstructing the I-20/I-520 interchange in Columbia and Richmond Counties. This project is designed to replace the existing interchange configuration, increase capacity of reduce noise pollution in the area. OLH Inc. developed the detailed construction schedule from plans and specifications. OLH scheduling personnel were part of the preconstruction meetings between the Georgia Department of Transportation, the engineer and the contractor, presenting the baseline schedule. OLH Inc. scheduling personnel is performing monthly updates and reports.

Charleston County Road Wise, South Carolina Local Option Sales Tax Program

The Charleston County voters approved a special sales and use tax to be imposed in the County to finance the costs of highways, roads, streets, bridges and other transportation-related project facilities. OLH Inc. is providing Program/Project Management and Project Control services on this program. We have also deployed our TEAMS application on this program.

Palmetto Expressway Phase II, Aiken, South Carolina

The Palmetto Parkway, Phase II (I-520) is an interstate facility extending from US Route 1 to I-20 along new location for approximately 6.5 miles. A multidirectional interchange will link the two interstate facilities. The Palmetto Parkway Phase II, along with Phase I (which opened to traffic on June 22, 2004) will join Georgia's Bobby Jones Expressway to complete a circumferential route around the City of North Augusta and Augusta, Georgia. OLH Inc. is providing Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) and Project Office Administration.

OLH Inc. is a member of the General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Team on the BP2000 Program. This transportation improvement program will span 15 years and includes improvements to transportation facilities, floodways and greenways. There are eight road improvement projects. OLH Inc. is providing Program/Project Management and Project Control services along with our TEAMS application on this program.

South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) - SC-9 and I-73 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)

I-73 is the most important new construction project in the state of South Carolina. The Study Area is approximately 5,000 square miles. OLH Inc. is providing scheduling services to the engineering firm developing the EIS. OLH Inc. is responsible for the reviewing of 67 projects worth an estimated $312 million.

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) - Louisiana TIMED Managers (LTM)

The Louisiana program TIMED (Transportation Infrastructure Model for Economic Development) is promoting better connectivity throughout the state by expanding several two-lane U.S. and State highways to four-lanes. The LTM is helping LADOTD accelerate the program by providing tasks such as design management, right-of-way acquisition and relocation, utility coordination and relocation, and construction engineering and inspection. OLH is providing program/project management and project control consulting services.

South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) - SC-441 Loring Mill Road, Sumter, South Carolina

OLH Inc. was the subcontractor on the roadway construction project, responsible for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CE&I). The project was approximately 2.5 miles long with the scope of widening the existing two-lane roadway to three lanes. OLH provided an Inspector and performed a full range of construction engineering and inspection services to support all aspects of the project including monitoring the quality of the construction work, documenting the materials, labor and equipment used, review cost documentation, monitor schedules, process payments and perform claims analysis and recommendations.

North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) - US 64 Knightdale Bypass Design-Build

Listed as the fourth larges project in the Southeast by the Southeast Construction Journal in the fall of 2004, the US-64 projects extended 11-miles of the six-lane freeway and included 23 bridge structures. OLH assisted the designer with developing the detailed design schedule so that it was seamlessly integrated into the construction portion of the design-build effort.
